Description

As the Design Studio Manager in the Marketing Design Team, you will lead the creative project management of the workflow of the design team. You'll have the chance to make changes to systems to improve productivity and best practices for design delivery, working with design, artwork, marketing, and social media experts to deliver high-quality and impactful design solutions to promote the Museum, across print and digital applications.

Responsibilities

Create project schedules to ensure relevant stakeholder sign-off to support the successful delivery of critical marketing collateral for income-generating and advocacy projects.
Lead resource planning, prioritisation, and scheduling in the Marketing Design Team, ensuring seamless delivery of design assets on time, to budget to various departments across the Museum.
Participate in the development of project briefs - supporting colleagues to develop design briefs to ensure aims and objectives are clearly understood and agreed.
Proactively drive projects forward, track progress, chase as needed, consolidate feedback, and report at meetings.
Oversee the planning and detailed scheduling of installation of on-site signage, including poster schedules, for promotion of exhibitions and other marketing-led projects, and coordinate with relevant departments and externals.
Develop and constantly improve/streamline systems, including project review and analysis, to propose better and more effective management of design projects.
Oversee the development, administration, and file management of the artwork repository, setting the standard for effective storage.
Effective management of a team of Senior Creative Artworkers and a Design Studio Assistant providing mentoring and development.

Experience Needed

Degree level or equivalent.
Excellent organisational skills.
Outstanding relationship-building and communication skills.
Experience as a Design Studio Manager in a marketing design environment
Project management expertise.
Line management experience.
Strong problem-solving skills.
